Educational SMART Center opens its doors in the Lori region of Armenia (PHOTOS)

The Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) SMART  Center opened its doors in the Lori region of Armenia on May 27. It was noted that $ 5 million was invested in the project. It was located at the crossroads of Dsegh and Debed villages. Smart will differ from other information technology centers by its programs and there will not be an age limit. Lori Smart Education Center is a three-wing building. It will have an alternative option of education, it will also have classrooms for parents and adults, as well as rooms for small children. Number of hotels in Armenia grew 60% in four years

The number of hotels in Armeniagrew by 60%, reaching 551 in 2016 against the 343 in 2012. According to data provided by the national statistical service, 379 hotels operated in Armenia in 2013, 409 in 2014 and 474 in 2015. The number of those employed in the accommodation sector increased by 53%: 3,635 people worked in hotels and other similar lodgings in 2016 against the 2,365 in 2012. In the reporting period, the volume of hotel services grew by 48%, with the sector yielding a revenue of about AMD23 billion last year, up from AMD15.5 billion in 2012.

Canada’s Tallest Inhabitable Building Breaks Ground In Toronto

Foster + Partners has begun construction on a supertall skyscraper in Toronto's business district, which is set to become the country's tallest building at 306 meters, reported The Dezeen.  It will be Canada's tallest inhabitable building and it's second-tallest man-made structure after the CN Tower, a 553-metre communications and observation tower. Parliament discusses draft law facilitating mortgage loans

The Armenian parliament discussed  a draft law on mortgage lending, which when passed, will allow free transfer of mortgage loans from one bank to another. According to deputy chairman of the Central Bank, Nerses Yeritsyan, the bill provides also for greater transparency in lending. Under the bill, banks will have to specify all the interests and payments. By signing a loan agreement, a borrower will have a seven-day period to terminate it without any penalties. Also, the adoption of the bill will allow refinancing of loans in other banks. When you go out of town, you usually need to buy a few nights at a hotel in addition to a plane, train, or bus ticket. Brandan Siebrecht, a graduate architecture student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, wants to combine these components into one experience.
